Montelepre is situated in a splendid naturalistic area with a landscape of priceless value. In the XV-th century, the Archbishop of Monreale, Giovanni Ventimiglia, erected a tower around which grown the town of Montelepre. The structure of the tower is still the original one.

The tower is surrounded by little and twisting streets and by narrows stairs. It represents the ancient history of country, also related to the zone of Monte D`Oro, to the medieval site of Munkilebbi and recently to the person of Salvatore Giuliano.

This documentary presents the most significative events of Montelepre. It fix with suggestive images and a text obtained by accurate searches, the typical aspects and the important signs of Mentelepre: the necropolis of Manico of Quarara, the archeological finds preserved in the Civic Museum; the Torre Ventimiglia, the churches and also the house-museum of Salvatore Giuliano, the rural fams rising in suggestive environments, the enchanting lanscapes.

The feasts of the Corpus Domini, of the SS.Crocifisso and of the Holy Friday (with more than 400 people wearing ancient dresses) are the tangible signs of the strong attachment of the people of Montelepre to their own origins and traditions, to those values that the people of Montelepre brought with themselves in far places, passing them with pride to the new generations.
